How to choose the right skin treatment for you
Skin concerns rarely have one single fix, and the right starting point depends on what's actually bothering you – lines that move when you talk, volume that's dropped, skin that's lost its glow, or leftover marks from breakouts. Here's how our skin treatments break down by concern, so you can start in the right place before reading the individual guides below.
- To soften expression lines and prevent new ones: Botox, Forehead Botox, Masseter Botox (Jaw Slimming), Botox for Migraine, Nefertiti Lift & Neck Contouring
- To restore volume and refine contour: Dermal Fillers, Cheek Filler, Lip Filler, Tear Trough (Under-Eye) Filler, Jawline & Chin Contouring, Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty
- To improve skin quality, hydration and glow: Skin Boosters, Profhilo, PDRN, Mesotherapy, PRP & PRF Facial Rejuvenation, Skin Rejuvenation
- To treat acne marks, scarring and uneven texture: Microneedling, Microneedling with PRP, Microneedling with Mesotherapy, Chemical Peels, Cold Peel, TCA CROSS, Scar Management, Keloid & Hypertrophic Scar Treatment, Acne & Scars
- To correct pigmentation and melasma: Pigmentation & Melasma
- For other specific concerns: Fat Dissolving Injections, Hyperhidrosis (Excessive Sweating) Treatment, Skin Tag Removal
- Not sure where to start: Skin Consultation & Diagnostic Assessment
Can these be combined?
Yes, and in practice most patients combine more than one. It's common to layer Botox with dermal filler in the same visit, pair microneedling with PRP or mesotherapy for scarring, or add a skin booster or Profhilo session as a hydration base layer underneath injectables. Dr. Alaa builds a plan around your specific combination at consultation rather than treating each concern in isolation.
What to expect across skin treatments
Injectables such as Botox, filler and skin boosters are typically walk-in, walk-out procedures with minimal downtime, with results settling over one to two weeks. Resurfacing and regenerative treatments such as peels, microneedling and PRP usually need a short recovery of a few days and build their results over a course of sessions rather than a single visit. Each individual guide below has an exact downtime and timeline section.
Guide FAQ
Do I need Botox or filler?
Botox relaxes the muscle movement behind expression lines – forehead, frown lines, crow's feet – while filler adds volume where it's been lost, such as cheeks, lips or under the eyes. Many patients asking this question need a bit of both; it comes down to whether the concern is a line that moves, or a hollow that's there at rest.
How many sessions before I see a real difference?
Botox and filler are visible within days and settle by around two weeks. Skin-quality treatments like microneedling, peels, PRP and Profhilo are usually done as a course of three to four sessions a few weeks apart, since they work by triggering your own skin repair rather than an instant fix.
Can I have more than one treatment in the same appointment?
Often, yes – combinations like Botox with filler, or microneedling with PRP, are routinely done together. Anything involving an active peel or laser device is usually kept to its own appointment so your skin isn't overloaded, which Dr. Alaa will flag at consultation.
I'm not sure which of these I actually need.
That's exactly what the Skin Consultation & Diagnostic Assessment is for. Start there, or message Dr. Alaa directly below and describe your concern in your own words.
