How to choose the right hair treatment for you
All three of our hair treatments work on the same principle – using your body's own growth factors to slow shedding and encourage regrowth in follicles that are still active, rather than replacing hair that's already gone. The difference between them is where those growth factors come from and how concentrated they are.
- Regenerative treatments for thinning or shedding hair: Hair & Scalp Restoration, GFC for Hair, Exosomes for Hair
Can these be combined, and what about a hair transplant?
Hair & Scalp Restoration, GFC and Exosomes are often stacked into a single ongoing protocol rather than chosen one-or-the-other, and each pairs well with in-clinic scalp microneedling to help delivery into the follicle. None of them replace a hair transplant for advanced, fully bald areas – they're regenerative, meant for follicles that are thinning but still active. If your hair loss is more advanced, Dr. Alaa will tell you honestly whether a transplant referral makes more sense than another round of regenerative treatment.
What to expect across hair treatments
These are course-based, not one-and-done: most patients need a series of sessions a few weeks apart, with visible regrowth typically becoming noticeable from around the third month and continuing to improve for six to twelve months. There's little to no downtime beyond mild scalp tenderness for a day or two.
Guide FAQ
How is my hair loss different from someone else's?
Male and female pattern hair loss follow different patterns – receding hairline and crown thinning versus more diffuse thinning – and stress-related or postpartum shedding behaves differently again. That's why the individual guides below, and a proper consultation, matter more than a generic protocol.
How many sessions will I actually need?
Most regenerative hair protocols run three to six sessions spaced three to four weeks apart, then a maintenance session every few months. Dr. Alaa gives you a realistic number once he has seen the pattern and extent of your thinning.
When will I see results?
Early signs such as less shedding and finer new growth are usually noticeable from around eight to twelve weeks; visible density change takes four to six months, since hair grows in cycles that cannot be rushed.
Is this the same as a hair transplant?
No. These treatments work on follicles that are thinning but still alive; a transplant relocates follicles into areas that are already bald. Many patients use regenerative treatment to slow further loss either instead of, or alongside, a transplant.
